Women's

If you're looking for a patient coach who provides a nurturing environment to start or develop your skills, you're in the right place.

Bobby Walia has fast become the most sought-after women's coach in Sydney.

Beginners

Are you an absolute beginner? Has it been quite a few years since you’ve picked up a club?

With the Beginner Women's program, you will be guided through the basics of golf in just three weeks.

Cover the fundamentals of the game, understand what each golf club does, practise your short game and long game. You will also be given an introduction to the facilities at Moore Park Golf Course and a tour of the Pro Shop.

Due to Bobby’s relaxed and patient teaching style, many continue to the Intermediate series.

Intermediate

Get together with like-minded golfers who have some knowledge of the game.

The Intermediate Women's series is your chance to work on a specific part of the game each week. There is no lock in contract which allows you to drop in for the lessons you need. A large part is meeting other ladies, many of whom you will go on to play with socially. Develop your skills, make friends and enjoy lessons in a fun environment.

This series usually ends with a playing lesson where basic etiquette and course management are covered.

Swing Fit

Learn the basic golf skills while getting your whole body moving through yoga and pilates-style exercises.

Swing Fit is the new fun, healthy and social way for ladies to learn and develop golf skills. Designed by Golf Australia, this new program includes activities and games, often completed in pairs.

Swing Fit creates friendships on and off the course.

Playing lessons

Ask about our playing lessons. Get out on the course, learn new skills and practise what you’ve learnt, with your coach at your side.

What kind of coaching do I need?

  • I'm an absolute beginner and want to start on the right foot.
MG recommends the beginner program for a great introduction to the game.
  • I’ve played a bit before, but I’d like to brush up and improve.
    MG recommends the intermediate program.
  • I like to play with my friends.
MG recommends any of our programs. You can sign up with your friends, or you’ll make some by the end of the program. Many of our graduates now play together socially.
  • I don’t have a lot of time in the week, so I’d like to combine golf with exercise.
MG recommends Swing Fit to get your weekly exercise fix.

When & where?

  • First lessons take place at the driving range. When the confidence builds up we move to the practise areas for putting, chipping and bunkers.
  • Intermediate students usually end the program with an on-course lesson where we cover rules and basic etiquette.

"I love when I go out practicing on the range and I get comments on how good my swing is and then their amazement at the short amount of time I've been playing... I put it down to a great coach!"
